This guy got the Palate extender and braces at age 17 and these are the results in 1 years time where he's 18. He mentions he also regularly mews during the day now this isn't me saying mewing works but combined with a Palate extender this is actually not a bad idea. Watch out though.

It's called angle and distance, if you take a close-up picture, your face gets narrower.

If it's at the same distance, then why does his nose look so much bigger in the first photo? Will you tell me that mewing makes your nose go down?
And you can see his arms outstretched in the next pictures

mewed for 3.5 years since 14 and i have no changes whatsoever, the only reason i keep doing it is cuz good oral posture makes my side profile better
