anyone knows a surgeon doing jaw surgery with biodegradable screws? also for genioplasty? i don't want to get my mentalis muscle cut twice to remove the titanium screws later because it has shown to be bad to cut it more often

only the dead are biodegradable

interesting. first time i hear about them, why are they not widespread in jaw surgery?

studies show it's fine for genioplasty, haven't looked into bimax or something but might be that those are not strong enough for the duration that it takes to heal from it. also i think everyone is just trained with titanium screws and they do not seem to give issues often. i just dont want metal in my face while my bone is regenerating for the next whatever years in my life i will have some pieces of fucking metal no thx.
