You becoming homosexual in your youth isn’t really a choice and is determined by environment / hormonal profile during the prenatal stage.

but I think maintaining your state of homosexuality is a choice. I’m not talking about women btw, because women are inherently bisexual. It’s imbedded deeply within their nature, so this doesnt apply to them.

As for men, I think it’s as simple as binging on lesbian porn, upgrading to straight porn, completely dropping gay porn from your library and associating everything you find disgusting with the activity. Given some time, you will eventually give it up and at least become bisexual, rather than exclusively gay.

sexuality is extremely dynamic. It is not set in stone. You can be straight and only into girls. But just watch gay porn for 3 hours a day, every day for the next year. By the end of it, you will most definitely have more attraction to men than you had before, because your brain is rewired along that time. Initially you may be disgusted, but then you eventually no longer will be disgusted. Your brain will slowly learn to accept it, then once it’s accepted it as ok, it will move towards seeing it as good, and so on. It takes a long time, but the process happens. You can turn gay. But you can also turn straight if you really want to.

As to why gay people mostly don’t do this, I think it’s mostly due to something unique around the experience of male homosexuality, which cannot be replicated with women. What that thing is, I don’t know. But it’s there and often overlooked.
