Filing down teeth

Is it safe to slightly file down teeth with uneven edges and how'd I go about doing it? what tools? serious

I don't think my dentist would do it tbh although the aesthetic benefit would be pretty obvious in my case

idk I thought filing down teeth isn't something that's even commonly done

edit: just did some research and apparently it's more common than I thought

anyone know about cost? lol @ paying dentist hundreds of dollars to shave down a few teeth less than a milimeter when I can do it myself

That hurts my teeth just thinking about it
 

nah my bottom teeth have very slight chipped edges I'd barely need to take anything off to correct it

but I find it ridiculous to pay a dentist a whole lot for something that cost them absolutely nothing other than electricity bill for letting a drill run for 1 minute

Wouldnt filing teeth hurt bite force? Which in turn hurts jawbone stimulus.
