I'll look into your recs over the next few days, @IntolerantSocialist - seems like interesting stuff.

I've mostly taken a turn into Neofolk lately. Ever heard of this band? Absolutely stunning material, especially this track:

This band has really gotten my attention too. Poland seems to put out all the best Black Metal lately, between this (track is from 2007 though), Biesy, and Kriegsmaschine (way better than Mgla):

Probably won't be on as much for a while - though every time I say that I do the opposite. It's too easy to fall back into posting, but I get infinitely more done when I stop doing it. I'll be aiming for a frequency of once/week or less.

Polish black metal is great, and yeah I love neofolk, always have. Btw any way for us to communicate via a messenger of something like Steam? I miss your posts bro. This forum is kind of bland without your insights.
from osrs (try it)
Makes me think of my 26 year old brother when he was in high school

It looks like a very nice game. But seems like the type that if you didn't join early, you have missed out a lot and building up from now onwards will be a tough journey.

Zero E song incoming.
I bet not even a single person would percieve such manliness.

Kollezhskiy Asessor is great. I remember finding them digging around on RYM years ago. I got ahold of Koll As a little while ago, and it's really something. Released by samizdat in the Ukrainian SSR in 1989, sounds like it came out of the weird side of US independent music in 1995 almost exactly. It's remarkably similar to Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Bugskull, Fly Ashtray, stuff like that.

First time I've listened to Triptykon, very good. Almost as good as Monotheist.

A lot of that outsider rock reminds me of rock in opposition and krautrock played by the late 80s Dischord caste, as a precursor or compliment to math rock

Triptykon is great, should have been big.
Sounds like a mix of EBM and New German Hardness with a touch of power noise. I dig.

every word of this song speaks to me, but unfortunately it's overplayed so not the same anymore

Finished with my woman
'Cause she couldn't help me with my mind
People think I'm insane
Because I am frowning all the time
All day long, I think of things
But nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind If I don't find something to pacify

Can you help me occupy my brain?
Oh, yeah

I need someone to show me
The things in life that I can't find
I can't see the things that make true happiness I must be blind

[Solo]

Make a joke and I will sigh
And you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness, I cannot feel And love, to me, is so unreal
And so, as you hear these words
Telling you, now, of my state I tell you to enjoy life I wish I could, but it's too late

"GOD DAMN"
