Basically all my life is a lie, because I never was self aware enough to accept that I'm an idiot. My faint hope that I was smart but suffering from simple depression was one of the greatest, and most catastrophic delusions I ever had. Yet...I don't know how to do anything else rather than regurgitate knowledge....shallow knowledge maybe.
If I leave my masters, what is going to happen with my life? My first degree means jackshit if I think about it, and I have no marketable skills. Moreso, I can't learn fast enough to develop them quickly. "Go be a trader" you might say....but at 26? Be a NEET? Live the rest of my life inside my safe space and die without experiencing anything worthwhile?....I was depressed because I am a cel, but now I am also stupid on top of it.

My undergrad was in History, but I scrapped through it mainly by memorizing (although, I loved to learn about history outside of Uni). Mate the sheer amount one has to put in order to analyze, cross examine etc is a nightmare.

I dont have the correct answer for you mate, a master must be worth it right? I have seen people with masters working normie jobs after but I dont know many rich people. The few rich people I have encountered got rich doing things unrelated to their education.

I think you should aim to have sustainable fun, dont become a NEET but if you dont like rotting attempting your masters don't do it. You got a first in history im sure you could get a good apprentiship with that.

It is not that I hate it....I just cant handle the work, in relation to my reasoning abilities. I have to cross examine shit from "N" papers of books every single day and synthesize 3 projects until the end of the semester.

I can't even write properly....it doesn't feel viable.

I believe the Director was deceived by me, considering that, If I have one skill is to feign competence (i have reasons to believe it, but they are not important now). Have you told your director this? Maybe they could give you some techiques to maximise your studying efficiency. You could have also just burnt out, taking breaks is important.

Its worth getting help because it benefits you. Think of it like this and you will find it easier to ask for help. Competence doesnt mean your boss expects you to know everything. There will be times where you will need to ask for help, its natrual.

While nobody likes babying somebody 24/7, if you ask for some help it will make things easier, even if it doesnt fix all your problems. If you have alot of issues you can try asking alot of people. Dont dump all your issues on one person, even if they want to help you they will be overwhelmed. Ask your director to help you with your most important issue first.
