Hi,

In past I wrote you about my adventure with fillers. It was simply bad decision. After second part of injection I looked great, for.... 9 hours? In next days was no diffrence. It's lesson for me. Now I looking for other option. What do you think what is better - implants or orthognathic surgery? I need better jaw angle and chin.

If you are talking about jaw surgery it is not possible to tell from these pictures if it would be appropriate. Side profile would be the best angle to judge this, but even so you would need x-rays to tell what movements are needed or even possible.

That said it looks like your chin is weak so genio / implant could help. Personally I would always prefer a genio in that case since it's a relatively easy area to fix with osteotomies. I had a chin implant myself for years giving me an unnatural look and subsequent bone erosion. Replaced it with a chin wing, big improvement.

You should consult an actual surgeon rather than relying on random people on the internet.

That being said, a side view would be more useful. Do you have any bite problems?

I have a feeling that if I saw your whole face that you look good with your jaw as is but probably have some other glaring issue. Quit trying to chase Chad's jaw. You could use more angularity like the rest of the us, honestly most people could, but I have a feeling of the PSL 5 or 6 bdd cell lurking beneath the white out portion.

I visited two surgeons. One of them prefer implant, second - orthognatic surgery. Opinion of random people with knowledge is important too.

Yes, I have receding mandible.

Yes, your mandible looks recessed. In the picture where you didn't white out your whole upper face it's easy to tell that you are tilting your head way back. In a true frankfurt plane your anterior chin projection would fall behind a lot more. These censored pics still aren't great for evaluation.

A genio or chin implant would be beneficial as a masking procedure but jaw surgery could be a better option. How is your bite? What kind of surgeons were you talking to? You might need x-rays and a consult with a maxillofacial surgeon to determine the best solution.

You absolutely need orthognatic surgery.
