There has to be something else diet wise which can increase it...I skimmed through a couple studies after I saw the first thread. My understanding is that nicotine decreases the renewal of old collagen while increasing the production of collagen precursors & therefore new collagen. It's linked to nicotine's property as a carcinogen. When it stops cellular reneawl the risk of cancer increases. Both its carcinogenic effect & effect on collagen are minuscule & won't translate to any noticeable change.
