No way is this just a "3-4%" bodyfat difference between your before and after pic. In the before pic you look like 25-30% bodyfat and in the after like a completely different person (if that's even you; no offense). Night and day difference imo. You must have lost a ton of fat and I believe that's the main contributing factor to your impressive result. But still, believing something like this can be achieved with a 'buccal fat removal' procedure only is delusional and a great way to cope with not having the discipline to lose weight.

Although the pictures are cut, it looks like he has a solid bone structure. But I had this done myself and even without great bone structure, I went from very chubby (more than op) to hollow cheeks. If your problem is excess buccal fat it is legit.

That said, don't do it unless you still have chubby cheeks even at very low BF and especially if you are very young. The cheeks do tend to naturally lose fat with age anyway so having this done on the wrong patient would risk making them age worse.

I have pretty low bodyfat percentage but I have no idea how people on here estimate theirs so accurately. I’d say I’m somewhat skinny/lean but I could go lower. I am only 18 so I should probably wait a few more years as my dad has very hollow cheeks now and mine could look more like his as I age (I saw an old picture of him and they looked a lot chubbier). However most men in my family still have rather full cheeks even with lower fat percentages so I’m not sure how mine will turn out. Btw at what age do the cheeks become noticeably hollower? Does it happen in your early-mid 20’s or does it continue as you age at a slow rate?

Yes buccal fat removal is permanent, also Buccal Fat Removal IS ONLY for people who have chubby cheeks at lower than 15% bodyfat, so if your cheeks are still chubby even tho you have some abs showing, yoh might need it.

ALSO make sure to look at your parents faces to see if the fat will go away naturally, both my parents still have chubby cheeks despite being nearly 50 years old so I knew the buccal fat would never go away

Yeah I have some abs showing (it depends on the lighting though, in direct light they aren’t really noticeable) so I think I might need it. I’ll definitely try lowering my bodyfat even more though just in case. My dad has very hollow cheeks at his current age, but looked more like mine when he was younger so I’m not sure if mine will look like his or more like my mom’s and uncles’ (which are chubby even with low bodyfat).

There's no way you can predict how you will look with this.

Umm, pretty sure most people would like better. It removes your cheek fat so your cheeks bones show more. Less facial fat = better looking

Recovery time was like hmm week and a half for swelling to go down, but results dont get real good until about 3 months

My mouth was super sore for a couple days while during recovery time, surgery was somewhat uncomfortable

Comparison is frauded. He shoulda made a picture max 1 week after BF removal, not like 1 year after.

Chances are, his hollow cheeks would come without BF removal if he lost proper ammount of weight.

This is by far the best result I’ve ever seen from buccal fat removal. Your chin looks so much more masculine now it’s honestly kinda unbelievable. Did your surgeon say you had a lot of buccal fat and that’s why your result was so dramatic? I’ve heard that everyone has a unique amount and that’s why results vary so much. And of course it’s impossible to know how much is in there until the surgeon actually cuts you open. Congrats though, huge improvement from such a simple procedure. How was recovery? Pretty easy?

Instantly, as soon as I got home I could tell my face was leaner, but then the swelling was bad for like a week

Also, many doctors who do the procedure don't have significant experience with it and are unable to locate significant pockets of fat.
