many people here suggested using latisse as alternative to minoxidil.
however I haven't understood what latisse is.

if I search "latisse" on amazon and ebay, I only find "eyebrow serum" products, and their ingredients are not listed.

is latisse a prescription drug? what active substance does it contain?

I ve been using it for eyebrows and lashes. Works quite good and without sides at least for me

It’s for brows/lashes afaik

Yeah, it is on prescription from what I've read. They are eyedrops.
It contains bimatoporost (0.3 mg/mL), which is widely used in many eyelash serums to promote the growth of eyelashes. Its inactive ingredients are following: benzalkonium chloride; sodium chloride; sodium phosphate, dibasic; citric acid; and purified water. Sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid may be added to adjust pH.
