Passing your genes is potentially a true meaning of life

I hear a lot of people saying that: "The meaning of life is to live your life to the fullest. Its not about having a kid!" I agree to an extent but when you pass away, you have nothing left that lives on. Maybe for some men its ok to not raise a family but for a female it seems terrible to be alone till the end. Can you imagine being a grandma with no family at all except cats?
