it did exist, but the distraction arms are extremely unpractical:@tesseract is there DO for Ramus?
This just does movements correct a doctor won’t add ccw and genio if they are using this system?it did exist, but the distraction arms are extremely unpractical:

when the ramus being distracted downward, there’s resistance of the masseter muscles.
Do u think ching wing can help in ramus lengthening?it did exist, but the distraction arms are extremely unpractical:

@tesseract this is bsso Surgery.look at B the ramus drops downward and forwardView attachment 563029
Almost anything can be achieved when you cut and "glue" bone back together.Do u think ching wing can help in ramus lengthening?
2.also,what do u think of uhwmpe implants and peek implants?
@Jade mentioned that they are permanent and don't get resorbed and don't cause bone erosion
Another informative post from mr.Jade, thank u very much bro!Almost anything can be achieved when you cut and "glue" bone back together.
Of course, you can get Ramus vertical lengthening, but when you follow a specific technique, other bone movements come into play.
When you cut and extend one way, other parts of your bones need to adjust too! Your doctor needs to find the best compromise.
If you do not want to use implants at all, your doctor needs to find the least invasive solution for your specific case.
Assuming that ONLY your ramus needs vertical lengthening, heck, your doctor could cut your Ramus in two sections and position it in a way that makes sense for you.
Imagine a chin osteotomy for your Ramus.!
No. PEEK, (UHMWPE) or even Silicon do not cause the issues you are concerned about. Instead, it is the movement and friction (force).
Silicon is malleable and unstable. Your muscles press against it, and that causes the bone to deteriorate - IT IS NOT THE MATERIAL ITSELF.
Imagine you had silicone implants and never ever move your face again; well, those silicon implants will not cause any issues at all. Unless, of course, your body develops a reaction to them.
Btw,could increasing the ramus length thorough side wing cause change in occlusion plane?Almost anything can be achieved when you cut and "glue" bone back together.

I don't have a too short ramus, I would say its similar to Hernan drago 's ramus in length,it's just my ramus is short for my long skullproblem is getting the exact look you expect to have because you have a rather short ramus, and likely, your jawline looks as if it starts right under your ears towards your chin.
