deandaplasty is actually quite legit, my friend is a surgeron i asked him about it months back. Very experimental though

you need a taller lower third and upper third to compensate, that's about it, and it will look fine

No you cant reduce nose length, but widening the zygos mitigate the appearance of a long midface. Saiyan had a very horse long midface, after his implants his face looks more proportional. Also, more forward maxilla and zygos make the midface appear shorter too

If es ratio is greater than 0.46 than widen cheekbones (even if es ratio after is 0.43)

except i disagree with a tall upper third, if your midface is long (within reason) a longer jaw can help

I know there isn't any numerical difference but from frontal profile the distance between lip and nose tip (Philtrum) almost always looks noticeably shorter after Bimax before and afters and even more so when they had rotation. Which makes sense since the lips protrude more now and take up the space that was previously retruded.

EDIT: Also, Bimax increases lower third height and with appropriate Genio movement, chin height improves the lower third height, offsetting any potential long midface while making usual average to compact midfaces look more masculine as a by-product.

Midface can't be cut apart because of soft tissues, lower maxilla can be moved by CCW

but you can remove the cartilage and skin at the top end of the nose for (((((roman)))))) shaped nose .

To add to it, making straight a nose tip can give the illusion of a shorten midface, same for lowering eyebrows mostly with botox.
The sole real way to reduce midface in sheer numbers, is with a lip lift.
I don't see the point of widening zygos, unless if it's a failo because longmidfacels tend to have also narrower fhwr, which is logical, the more you elongate the face, the narrower it can end.

But from the study i've read, the most important part in midface isn't the midface ratio, it's about proportions, especially with the lower third. Some guy with totally compact midface but with even shorter lower third, won't look compact, while a dude with a longer midface but with an appropriate lower third will look normal. I'm a typical case where my midface ratio is fairly above 1 because of IPD, but still 65mm pupil to nose tip, and i'm saved mostly by my chin height. I don't look long midfacel.

look at this example :

Meanwhile :

This one has a more compact midface,yet in proportion don't look really compact.

Yeah if you have droppy nose tip you can reduce it,but it will just give the illusion of shorter midface, which is fine, because the distance eyes-philtrum won't shorten
