I've seen many attempts to ascertain the meaning of what tall dark and handsome truly means. With varying levels of success.
There's been at least 4 attempts

Attempt One - Lets settle this what does the dark in tall dark and handsome mean

You can just look on google for yourself there's plenty

While some are very good. None really get to the true meaning of the phrase

For a long time this phrase eluded me as well.
While I was vaping some weed out of my volcano on my couch in the basement 1 became 2

First let's establish what tall, dark and handsome isn't

- It isn't a skin tone. Just because your black as fuck doesn't put the dark in handsome. Although black men are seen as having more muscle at the same given height and weight as lighter/white skin men.

A man of any race can be "tall dark and handsome"

Yes, LOOKING/APPEARING dark triad is what is most important.
