i buy cheese pizza for the same reason i put american cheese on a burger
american cheese has the perfect texture when melted, and the mild flavor doesn't overpower anything in the burger, so it's actually a good choice to put on a burger instead of being a pleb choice because you can't be assed to use any fancier cheese
cheese pizza also seems like a plain pleb choice, but a nigga is just trying to taste the cheese and sauce and not get overwhelmed with shit
this applies more to good pizza that actually uses good cheese and sauce
