Use a handheld mirror, and angle it 6 inches shorter than yourself, at arm's length. Angle it up a few degrees so its pointing at your face and not your chest/arms.

Your sclera show is pretty much invisible from this angle unless it's extreme

Only tall men will see it and they probably don't give a fuck

When you look down they still can't see it as much unless you have a ton of scleral show. Assuming they are shorter than you. I just tested it and you can see it, but not as much as eye level can.

Sitting down, same concept as standing up except they may see it more than standing cause it's just your torso thats 2-3 inches higher instead of entire body being 6 inches taller
