Standing out too much is bad for getting away with crimes, you need to be right around 98th percentile height for optimal benefits and minimal drawbacks

But the counter opposite of that is also true sometimes. A girl may instinctively trust a very tall guy precisely because he stands out in a crowd, and thus she presumes he would be far less likely to be able to get away with kidnapping/rapping her because of that high profile.
