My surgeon will trim part of my maxilla to help give room for the CCW rotation which should slightly lower my midface. More extreme for of this is gummy smile surgery which you can google.

Styles layered thick on top and short on the sides. I've seen this make massive heads look more narrow.
Growing everything out evenly into a jewfro helps me seem to have a narrower face and head sometimes.
