In the last 2 months I gained about 15 pounds while my body fat percentage stayed the same. 16%. It went that high because I wasn’t dieting properly when I first started bulking (too many calories, too many carbs and not enough protein) but now it just stopped going up despite me being in a 300-600 caloric surplus. Why is that? Do my genetics allow muscle gain with no fat gain at all?

How do you know your bf% stayed the same? There’s literally no 100% accurate way to measure bf%

Fat is stored around the waist. My waist stayed the same while my weight went up, my strength went up and my arms, back, shoulders, legs and chest grew (I have new stretch marks).

You are probably gaining fat, albeit at a very slow rate at the amount of calories you’re consuming.

That’s what I’m thinking too, but over 3 months I may gain like 0.5% body fat.
