It depends.

Face recession goes with poor breathing, obstructed trachea because of small jaw spacing, tongue too big and everything in the mouth is too big for the little space there is. As a results, these mouth breather tilt their heads forward to free the breathing organs from that constricted jaw and neck. That's also why mouth breather get relived when they get bimax: nose airways are wider, and jaw lengthening brought the tongue forward, leading to wider neck airways.

But there is also the bad habit, because of working on computer way too much...

And finally, that recession seems to come from early bad breathing habits + small forces applied to the jaw + genetics.

When you know this, you can literally diagnose people problems by the face.

Yes, face posture is part of posture. You can just look at these two individuals and instantly guess which one has overall better frame.
Other one is prone to have dental braces, asthma, allergies, poor eyesight, small dick, tight foreskin and overall shitty life and ugly appearance.

Try to hold a fhp you jaw will go backwards

Actually it is the opposite. You get recessed jaws due to mouth breathing due to allergies or soft food or genetic and you tilt your head forward to compensate
