Does midface shorten with age?

Look at these young photos of Leo and then look at him now...

He just became fatter. Gravity wont make your midface shorter, it can only become longer if it even can.

Gravity does (theoretically) make your midface longer though, that's why mouth breathing and not providing counter force with your tongue causes your midface to become longer, because of gravity constantly pulling your maxilla downward.
