Full body vs PPL?

My friend who is a pt, basically made me as a beginner a modified 5x5SL program which is full body + 2 days of cardio. I was just wondering, is there genuinely a difference between full body and PPL? Because I feel like everyone I see always just seem to be doing PPL, where as this program basically incorperates everything into every single day for 3 days per week + the 2 days of cardio.

For a beginner, full body 3x a week is probably better.

You will grow same but PPL gives you more training volume and targets specific muscles more. You can also do 4 day upper lower split. I chose PPL because it was easier to understand as beginner and i'm a neet so i have unlimited free time. I will probably switch to 4 day upper lower split in 2 months.
 
PPL is more fun ime, which is something that you need to take into consideration as well as your willpower has its limits.

full body 3x week is best for beginners

For a total beginner, the amount of volume per muscle group will be a bit too much, so he would probably be better off hitting all muscles 3 times a week. He can move to a higher volume routine later on.
 
3 times a week full body, once intermediate you can start doing upper/lower

Tuesday cardio

Choose:

Distance running
HIIT training
Sleds

Wednesday

5x5 bench
3x4 deadlift
3x10 facepulls

Thursday cardio

YOUR CHOICE OF:

- Distance running
- HIIT training
- Sleds

Friday
5x5 Overheadpress
5x5 chin ups
5x5 bench
3x3 leg press / squats
3x10 facepulls

ive been doing 4 day upper lower and will prolly never switch back.

full body is terrible imo, literally never known someone who got results from it. imo upperlower> PPL> movement pattern split/bodypart split > Full body

For beginners, full body is fine, since they don't need as much volume, and so can hit every muscle multiple times a week. As they get more advanced they can move to a split.
