Guys, i want a good haircut that suits me perfectly. I have thick straight hair and the hair is always messy. It´s very hard to style it. So, what do you suggest:

Keep the current style. If you must take a inch or 1.5 of the top but keep the sides and let them grow

I would just cut the top a bit shorter, but all else is okay. Another option is a pompadour, it takes a lot of work to style it though.
