Have was burn on my face and it hasn't gone away after 3 MONTHES, is it over

Had a massive wax burn on my right cheek in October, It was a massive red circle on my cheek but 90% of it went away after 5 days, after this theres still a spot under my right eye and on my upper cheek. I have been putting vaseline on it periodically but its only gotten a little better, I feel like its over for me

Im going to go to a dermatologist in the next week, but then I think it is too late..

it can take years for some burns to heal but there will be a scar forever
