Lust is not just immoral, it is evil and one of the greatest sins. You have to free yourself of lust through Jesus. You cannot control yourself without giving your heart to God.
Imagine you are in a prison, Jesus walks in and
sits down right next to you. He tells you that the doors are open to the prison. You can leave anytime you want. This is exactly the realization that shows you hope. You can be freed. Follow his hand and escape the prison in your mind.
Mindset shifts & tips
-having an urge is not a sin, giving into the fleshly temptation is.
-God is not ashamed of you, he is there to help you overcome your shameful past.
-every time you get an urge, it’s not to masturbate but to have sex. (This does not mean go and have meaningless sex)
-God does not want perfection, he wants progression. (It may take years)
-burn your bridges to your past self. (Remove EVERYTHING. If it’s social media, music, people, etc. remove it)
-move your gaze to something purposeful you enjoy instead of anything that makes you tempted
-ask for Gods strength daily. It is an everyday fight so do whatever it takes to gain the strength.
-or just know that the devil is wanting you to fall into your temptations. Create an enemy to fight and be freed from.
If you still believe it is fine to lust you are lost and just know how your ancestors look at you, they are discussed by your weakness but they have hope for your future.
