Step2:go to the YouTube channel serious backtester the reason why I say go to him specifically is because he tests strategies on hundreds of stocks over hundreds of thousands of trades to see if the strat actually works

Step3: find a strategy on his channel that’s proven to make money then automate it using python(or other language)

Step4: make money

I automated one of his strats on a 1m timeframe and it averages 14% profit per year, if you trade with options the profit should be even higher, if you trade futures the profit once again should be higher than even options. But risk increases


Edit:I changed the time frame to 15 minutes and the backtesting came back and it made 39% over a course of 170 trades I traded it on Tesla

Yes you need money, to learn to code I’d say about 3-6 months. Learn python it’s the easiest and the most useful language for this. Also use the tdameritrade api once you learn to code. And I recommend trading options with this as you can multiply your gains by 5x in many cases.

You can download python for free, you just need a laptop or desktop. To learn python I recommend this free code camp. Make sure to learn things like http requests, pandas etc. to download python just visit there website and download the compilier
