In my head, I see it as them masking their poor breath so it makes me judge them doubly as opposed to them not chewing gum because they wouldn’t be implying that their oral health is bad.
Why aren’t people more discreet with this sort of thing but they rather choose to chew gum like cows? Either covertly use mints or floss and brush your teeth better—otherwise, I’m going to assume that you’re compensating for something and I’m going to be disgusted.
