Scalp massages
Vitamin D3
Eating well overall
Staying active
Use shampoo and conditioner only twice a week
Being gentle when drying your hair

So far my hairline is good, still Norwood 0 at 22. I've always had holes but so far I don't show any serious sings of hair loss.

After seeing @7zyzz7 threads on being Norwood 3 at only 21 I was set in motion to avoid the Norwood reaper at all cost

If you're a non black and the Norwood reaper comes for you it's over. It's easier to kill it when he's not looking than when he's after you so take action now to avoid hariloss

according to ray peat scalp massage is probably the most effective way to avoid the norwood reaper and also regrow lost ground
  1. scalp massage breaks calcification and excess sebum.
  2. brings bloodflow
  3. he recommends 15 minutes a day... which is actually quite a long time
  4. he recommends rubbing your fingers through the colders area of the scalp to increase warmth (wearing a warm hat/head covering (that doesn't restrict bloodflow) would also aid in regrowth)
  5. The technique is based on a study done in hong kong in which everyone with baldness regrew 90% of their hair - but the regrowth didn't start until 5 months in.

This will make him come faster
running will make you lose hair
wearing restrictive hats will make you lose hair
not eating enough carbs and protien will make you lose hair
being hypothyroid will make you have brittle thin hair which will increase rate of hairloss
overusing dryers especially if you have thin hair will increase hairloss

however moderate weightlifting for 20-30 minutes a day will not increase hairloss

also in an interview ray talked about applying glucose to the scalp

Danny Roddy: Okay, that makes sense. I read a few times, Kealey. I might be saying his name wrong. Adachi and a few of the other hair loss guys talk about how the hair follicle is extremely glucose-dependent and that it needs a source of glucose. Then a few other people say it's relatively independent of the circulation of glucose in the blood. They were thinking that the glycogen was part of that independence, but if the circulation is reduced from the low thyroid function and the oxygen supply is reduced, the hair follicle obviously suffers. That's where the oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation come in, really harming ... Go ahead.

Ray Peat: Yeah. All of the stresses tend to interfere with glucose oxidation. When you're stressed, you liberate free fatty acids as an energy source, but those poison the ability to oxidize oxygen, so it creates a local diabetes. Have you heard anything about whether diabetics have more baldness or less baldness?

Danny Roddy: I read that the insulin resistance, so-called, is related to baldness. Then somebody on one of my YouTube videos said that he had worked extensively with type 1 diabetics who were all using insulin, and he was like, "I've never noticed any of them being bald before." I don't know if that was accurate or not.

Ray Peat: I've been thinking that with a concentrated glucose solution, you could probably activate hair growth just by keeping your scalp moistened with glucose.

Danny Roddy: That's funny because people have emailed me that, asking if that was a viable therapy. I was like, "I have no idea. I don't know how that would work." It made me think of when you would say things like people use honey for scars and things like that. Go ahead.

Ray Peat: People are actually suggesting applying insulin topically to the skin, but that's a relatively much bigger molecule than glucose. I think there's a chance that either of those can get in, in a quantity that could help.

Danny Roddy: The insulin is helping by what? Stupid question but just supplying the hair follicle with glucose?

Ray Peat: With energy, yeah.

so you can apply some honey or coke to the scalp

dermarolling is also basically like scalp message but more localized and more damage so you have to do it with a really light one like.5mm derma roller 3 tiems a week or 1 time a week with a 1.5/2.0mm

hair is life but avoiding the norwood reaper is the first step. having a luscious thick hair is just as important. thinning hair is not worth having. now that im perfected everything my remaining nowood 3 hairs are thick and heathy like ive never had before. shame that regrowing lost ground is so hard.

i had Trichotillomania 2 years ago when my hair was getting really thin i plucked out a lot of hairs which are the ones im having trouble regrowing.
