Is food delivery still viable?

In this day and age, is food delivery still a good hustle even with gas prices? I hear people say they make like $20 an hour off of it but you can literally make that working at McDonalds + don't pay for gas. At least you can work whenever you want but outside of 8 AM-10 PM (And even some hours within this time bracket), there is zero profitability.

Thoughts?
