hey boyos, i really need your help.

im 16 and 8 Months with an overbite and closed growth plates (i‘ve heard that matters because it will influence facial development)

I’ve had Braces for 1,5-2 years now to treat my overbite including loose braces (which i didnt wear ) elastics / rubber bands (between my last incisors and the canines) , a bite plate and now SUS Braces (SUS = Sabbagh Universal Spring)

When i got the SUS Braces a couple days ago, which are basically stronger,permanent rubber bands, it changed my bite immediately, resulting in a longer midface, a (what i feel like) recessed maxilla , and a lower overall facial harmony.
I absolutely hate the way my face looks now and im worried that this will not change after the braces are gone.
My Orthodontist (who is an untrustworthy dyke) told me that its needed because i have a jaw asymmetry when i open my mouth, and that i shouldmy jaw time to grow.

When i asked her if it is used to retract / recess my upper row of teeth back to my lower row, she said that the SUS Braces will move my lower jaw forward instead, which doesnt make sense regarding that she said they‘re like stronger rubber bands / elastics ( which AFAIK move the upper row of the teeth back )

Overall im very scared that this will irreversibly negatively influence my face, recess my maxilla and lengthen my midface.

What should i do? im stressing tf out

No advice should be taken seriously but I happen to have been on brace for 2.5 years and when I learned that they intent to set back your whole face to achieve straight teeth I stopped immediately and took them off with a contractor tool
