swimming is fucking awful and didn't build me any muscle, just kept me at a way too low bodyfat. Glad I'm not forced to competitively do that anymore

No reason to leanmax beyond face. If you can look decent at higher body fats then really being lean is only good for maybe a few occasions out of the year when tf are you going to go swimming or something.
Looking big can help you out a lot just keep in mind your face may suffer. My face only lets me be lean but some can get away with a lot.
