Other than having a political background, things like being a rich business man (Trump), or actor (Reagan) also helped their case, having some sort of notable status before running does help a lot, instead of being a nobody random candidate, high trustability matters, not just in looks but also social status, the people want trust
Looking Decent: This one is an obvious one, all of the U.S presidents in the last 60 years have been decent looking in their youth & even when they were running for president they looked decent for their age, preferably the white WASP phenotype, every president has had hair, some have been balding, but never bald, preferably have good hair, Lyndon Johnson is the only exception as he didn't look good, but was tall 6'4, but he did only become president because of JFK's Assassination
Height: the average height of a U.S President, is 5'11.5, which is a good 1.5 inch taller than the average guy in U.S, but this includes all the presidents like all the old short ones from 1700's and 1800's, in the last 60 years it's 6'1 average height for presidents, so that's 3 inches taller than the average guy in the United States
Personality: able to lie to seem trustworthy to the people, dark triad, charismatic, likable to some degree to at least the people in their party & supporting their party
John F Kennedy (JFK) 6'1
Richard Nixon 6'0
Gerald Ford 6'0
Jimmy Carter 5'10
Ronald Reagan 6'1
George HW Bush 6'2
Bill Clinton 6'2
George W Bush 5'11
Barack Obama 6'1
Donald Trump (he doesn't really look 6'3, but he's definitely over 6'0) so I'll say he's 6'2
Joe Biden 6'0
