By far the best book I have read in my life, Jane Eyre just isn't on this level.

Had to read it in middle school
from what i remember it was pretty good
the entire message of the story went over my head tho jfl

That is partly why I don't agree with assigning these kinds of books to students so early on. It's not a question of whether or not you are smart enough to tackle the books, you really need more life experience and general knowledge before you can seriously tackle them. Otherwise you aren't gaining anything from it.
