I feel like there are has to be some surgeons out there who work closesly with distractor companies and can probably get custom made ones for certain cases.



The distractors in this video are basically everything anyone needs. Zygo distraction seems cope just get implants.

Issue with DO is I don't think it can provide rotation.

The one at 1:25 looks insane. You'd really get a giga chin and wider jaw according to that, wonder how that works? Would think that the posterior part of the mandible would stay and the anterior would just bend. I guess if its anchored in the teeth aswell and it's a slow expansion it would be reasonable that the entire jaw hade to expand horizontally

Like @PubertyMaxxer said, look into MSDO. I don't know many people who would "ascend" from a wider chin / jaw in front of the face, usually people need more forward growth in the side (IMDO would provide this).

Distraction Osteogenesis just works with a distractor which is the device, it rotates and that extends it even further. Bone then fills in the gap and the distractor is removed. Basically no long lasting signs of the surgery.

Right picture is IMDO. I haven't researched enough about IMDO to know if it can give significant movement in the direction of the left picture (seems more like MSDO but I might be wrong) - I will get back to you on this asap. A good IMDO surgeon is of course the pioneer of the surgeon, Dr Paul Coceancig. Might be a little pricey though. There are other surgeons who specialise in distraction osteogenesis in general, but apparantely Coceancig is blackpilled asf so he's probably the best for this.

Probably not literally though, it's hard for me to edit but imagine each half of the lower jaw simply rotating outwards, making it more U shaped rather than V shaped, and the general width measurement in the posterior part stays unchanged. Thoughts on this? @Preston @PubertyMaxxer

It makes sense that the blue area may change slightly, slightly being the key word. I doubt MSDO will be advantageous to anyone who doesn't have a narrow and crowded lower jaw though.

A friend of mine who got MSDO told me

"MSDO is overrated on Looksmax and won’t get you the best aesthetic results, but if your teeth are crowded and you have a very narrow jaw then it’s much better than extractions"
