After skrillex and tech stuff tkaing over the majority of artsy people stopped being metla heads because it was too dangerous, too many peter steeles. You need things to be unthreatening and non-alpha oriented for normies to get into.
Things became chill hipster folky because oofy doofy stuff worked.
Basically people only put down video games and get into music so that they can allure women with their hormones.
Heavy metal goth is too chad.
Eventually if there are no chad or jock subcultures that are artsy (like rock, metal, etc). then beta men have a chance.
Which is why bearded hipster lumberjack stuff came to power. Basically acting more fat, cultured, educated, philosophery, etc. would get you laid. Not enough jocks to stop the collective nerd act of the early 2010s.
Things became more EMO than metal like in the 80s. 2000s was the beginning of that.
Ghetto blacks of the 90s gangstas fell out of fashion. Jews didn't want whites to know how blacks actually were. And that is how they actually are in the 90s.
