Do what I do -- Doordash delivery or maybe UberEats.

You are your own boss. If you live in a busy area where many order = lots of $$$.

You can even do it sometimes on a bike even, not even a car needed.

If you live in a shit area though then you gotta try something else.

Try Excel services-- easy to learn and you can make easy hundreds a week maybe.

Fiverr-- try virtual assistant (easy), bookkeeping shit, etc.

At worst some of these things take a few weeks to master maybe but that is it.

Also if you have a car it is easy to make money. Uber/Lyft/delivery and shit. I knew of a taxi guy who made over $60,000 just driving people around 30-40 hours a week in a little area.

But point stands there is easy money for most people, they just have to have the capacity to do these things (which are easy) plus some additional resources at best (like not being a brain dead autist on a leash).

Investing money is bullshit.

Just try whatever is easiest plus is fair enough in money. Reduce obligations so avoid work ceiling as a wageslave, do shit off the clock and on your own time.
