Just received my blood work. I have high TSH. What does it mean

TSH hormone stimulates the thyroid hormone production (t3 and t4).

Actual high levels of TSH may indicate that you lack t3, t4 or actually may be deficient in them (hypothyroidism.) and your body is trying to produce more.
However without t3/t4 profile I can’t say nothing for sure.
Why did you take your TSH levels?

Why did you take your TSH levels?
My doctor prescribed it to me since I said that my face sometimes even I’m if lean gets puffy with no apparent reason and then goes back to normal
So I did sodium, potassium, kidneys and thyroid. Everything was ok except for TSH
