It's very easy to make friends and to have casual sex while travelling, especially if you stay in social places like hostels. Combine that with being outside all day, talking to people and seeing cool things. It also forces you to interact with people and not be a high inhib autist to do things, although yeah, it's retarded to travel and stay in your room all day. For those who missed out on college and things like that it's a pretty good substitute.

Meanwhile people who work often have terrible social circle and very little opportunities for meeting women outside of OLD. Plus it's fucking boring.
