DNA and inheritance was only connected 70 years ago . Before , people didn’t even know what DNA did or what it “looks” like . People suspected proteins might be important to inheritance cuz they didn’t have the modern information on DNA , Now , people got to the point where “muh DNA is everything” . Think: DNA of human and mouse -> different . DNA of human and human -> 99.9% same . Biology waaaay more complex than DNA . Who knows how it works , rn the idea of bioelectricity is very new . If DNA is everything , let me make a point : before ur born , ur nuclei have DNA , but do not forget that u are being formed inside a certain environment , that being the uterus . If u put cells outside uterus , it not work . Therefore , before ur born , u can see genetics are only one part of biology
