For me you can call yourself incel if you haven't been able to get laid for more than 6 months (but you want). That's also the reason why I discovered the psl community : my last dryspell lasted more than one year (hookers excluded).

It’s entirely subjective but I consider only virgins to be true incels.

If you apply the "validational sex" standard then probably 90% of the male population are incels. Because transactional sex is the only form of sex that the majority of men can ever experience. And to this point most guys in LTR/marriage are just doing long-term escortcelling
