Just went to local supermarket with my mom and she saw another curry woman she hadn't seen in 10 years. She instantly hit it off and they were speaking like as if they were best pals.
Hundreds of people in the store, all white, some couples/families yet is sounded like a library until my mother saw her and they were the only people socialising, while doing their shopping.
I can only sit back and admire. This is normal for them but completely extraordinary for me. I saw some friends at Eid for the first time in years and they felt like strangers.
