The job search, at least for me, is far more brutal than Tinder has ever been. That’s with a STEM degree.

If you consider every application a “match” (equivalent of only swiping girls in your league) and every interview a “date” then I’d say the competition is 10 to 20 times greater.

That’s in the current recession economy though. Job market does get better cyclically whereas Tinder gets slowly worse.

Trades are low class for people who can't do 2+2 or have the motivation to give exams for 8 semesters. Literally useless people. You think trades require any skill? You literally need to get fucked in the ass by old men who don't even want to teach you the trade. After you become old yourself you'll do the same thing to the youngsters and so on. Money is trash idk why Americans think that trades have any value outside of their idiotic bubble hole. Plumbers here are getting paid minimum wage, work for the government and end up with back pain problems at the age of 30. Unless you wanna be a contractor or whatever which is equivalent to just making your own business but there are tons of other businesses (online motherfucker) who gonna pay you much more, tire you way less and are scaleable way more than just tryharding to build connections with old people in hopes their toilet flusher gets broken once in a while. Houses are not built anymore. Construction is long gone nobody wants to invest in that shit. People who hype trades are just low IQ monkeys who don't have the patience to finish a degree and do something reputable with their lives or just come from a broke background and are forced to this mindset of trades = muh "real job" . It's 4 years plus you can find some part time job/hustle to make money while also guaranteeing that you gonna have something that's gonna open your doors while you get in the job market.
