I used to feel that way about wearing lifts, I felt a dark negative feeling deep inside whenever I got called tall or complimented for my height, impostor syndrome. Then I remembered that women use:

• makeup (the biggest appearance fraud of all)
• high heels
• butt pads
• makeup on legs to hide razor bumps and cellulite
• pushup bras
• high-waist jeans to fraud stomach
• hair coloring and straightening
• colored contacts
• filters on OLD pics
• spray tan (in the UK)
• plastic surgery, which is way more common for women

And I stopped caring. By wearing 1.5-inch lifts I fraud like 20% of my appearance, average woman frauds 60%.
