This isn't true If you know how to fight tall fighters. When you're short you can hit then in their solar plexus and the hit is critical and far better than face punches they use

Also, wrestling is easier for small people because they have easier and quicker leg reach unlike tall people who would have to lean down to attempt takedown

Of course, as a short person you have to get as close as possible because tall people have longer limbs

Blocking solar plexus hits is much harder then blocking face hits

if you think, 5ft7 60kg floyd mayweather could beat up a 6ft4, 100kg untrained dude then you are delusional lmao

I don't think anybody would deny that size is a huge advantage in fighting.
You're clearly at a disadvantage if you're the smaller fighter.
But that doesn't mean you absolutely cannot win, there are other things that matter in fighting beyond mere size.

Klitschko could just lift Mayweather in the air with one hand and render him completely useless.

That's why weight classes exist in boxing.

Bigger size is objectively stronger and exerts more force.
There is a cutoff point at which technique no longer matters when the opponent is 4 or 5 weight classes above you with 8% body fat.

Or, someone bigger than Klitschko who doesn't box for a living like Bjornsson. He could snap McGregor in two and they can't even spar or have a friendly boxing match without a ton of caution from Bjornssons side to not exert too much force.

It is true otherwise there wouldn’t be weight classes
Also no one gives a shit about manlet weights on ufc/boxing.Heavyweight and light heavyweight are the most popular which is extra black pill.

Dustin isn't a exceptional grappler, but still he's a pro fighter for a living and can't wrestle a strongman off him due to size and weight. The best example of it is how Bob Sapp dominated lifelong champ Ernesto hoost twice while starting late in life. Bob was over 100 pounds heavier and 3 inches taller.

Yeah I watched that. It's insane how someone with as little experience as him, managed to beat the 4 time world kickboxing champion like it was nothing.

Not just once but twice. Ernesto tried to get revenge in that second match but failed.

This is why size classes must exist in professional contact sports.

After a certain cutoff point, each punch from an opponent that much bigger than you is a crushing blow and the match is no longer fair.

It only matters if the difference is really big, Conor is 75kg and the other guy is 150kg
And after 100 kg this becomes irrelevant, any heavy weight ufc with 100 kg would knock this guy out easily

100kg master race>>>>>>> 150 kg

Obviously size matters if both fighters had some experience.

If one guy had no experience whatsoever, he is gonna lose unless there is 40-50kg difference. Cmon most of guys try to punch like gorillas and dont know how to close fist properly.

If the 100kg guy gets a hold of him then maybe but all Floyd needs to do is land one right hand and its over which he easily would

Yh but this assumes both fighters have some skill.

You'd be surprised how much skill can compensate for weight when it comes to completely untrained fighters vs someone skilled.

A 5'5 @65kg Dravidian BVLL like @FailedNormieManlet who knows BJJ and Judo could fk up a 90kg 6ft+ untrained person.

That being said, if the bigger man has some foundations in a grappling discipline then he knows how to leverage his weight. Even if he is less skilled than the smaller man, the weight differential becomes much more important.

So to give a hypothetical situation to show what I am talking about:
Person A: 90kg, 6ft and 1 year of experience with average fighting ability

Person B: 60kg, 5'7 and 3 years of experience with above average fighting ability (not exceptional, but good)

Person A would likely beat Person B

*Person B would beat anyone up to 100kgish (at a point the weight difference becomes too much)... if the other person is completely untrained. Once the bigger man gets a little of training though, the tables turn really quickly.

yeah that's 100% true. I struggle with dudes who have 10kg on me after they've been training for 3 or 4 months jfl, when I was ragdolling them earlier. But bro PSL told me training doesn't work :lul::lul:

To be fair, Brian Shaw is one of a kind. He is above 2meter 200kg giant, who used to be the strongest man in the world. Not at all comparable to an average 100-120kg tall guy with no fighting experience.

there are 3 main factors: weight, skill and fitness

combination of elite fitness and skill can overpower weight. In worst case scenario when weight is too light anyone can bulk up and move up the weight class.

what matters is fights to the death which happen quickly. There is a reason why throughout history the best warriors and gladiators have been giant chads. 6'4 Chad will slam a rock on your head and steal your wife every time.

Lee knows martial arts. But size and weight and strength > technique. However it is worth stating Ramsey does not say technique is useless. He says it gives you an advantage over those who do not.

Ngannou was able to toy with fury all thanks to size and strength, and It was just boxing jfl

He could beat him if he is a coach potato, who never runned, play sport, or been in a real fight.

But even than, with 6 month boxing training he could destroy every guy in 60kg weight class.

Yeah but in a street fight 99% won't know any skills so if you can fight then you win regardless of size unless there's a huge difference.

How big of a difference according to you ? Because @roping3264 here said that a 5'6 dude would win against a 7' dude. And this is not talking about mma fights but unregulated fights. So the tall dude can just grab the short dude and smack his head against the concrete.

He knows ineffective martial arts for the purpose of exercise and show. Not a real fighter, but yeh obviously size is crucial

Weight is far more important in pro fighting with rules allowing attrition and less relevant in combat without any rules, if you are faster to inflict enough damage you win and you don't need more weight to accomplish that.

Vast majority of people have little to no experience in any sort of combat, that's why there are so many overgeneralizations in this debate
