in order to become a good programmer you need to spend a lot of time learning to code

if you have better things to do like hang out with friends or go to a party you will do that instead. If you are a subhuman or just no friends like me and have high enough IQ you can invest the time to actually finish a CS degree and understand the very difficult concepts. Tbf it's very OP to be able to think with a CS background, like whatever shit degree business or politics people are studying is just like reading some notes or textbooks or something. CS you genuinely know what you're studying and you're exposed to really complex things

Not everyone is super passionate about programming, I chose it because I thought I needed to study something at uni to not be poor and a total loser like people I went to school with. Out of everything at uni SWE seemed like the best career at the time because the demand is good and the supply is limited to high IQ people who can actually do the job.

Maybe but not everyone is like that, a lot of programmers actually workout or play sports because yeah sitting all day is not the best. Like I workout regularly for example. Idk how much being inside kills your looks, maybe lack of Vit D is bad yes but overall Id guess its genetic.

One thing I will say tho is if you're GL and social I think it's very unlikely you will sit at home programming in your free time when you're a teen. The passion programmers are usually autisitic with varying degrees of strength from people ive seen.
