How to prepare beef liver?

So I have been trying to maximize my consumption of beef liver lately but everytime I cook it, it comes out chewy and bad tasting as usual. So I have been looking into eating it raw but I don't know if it has been mixed with other meats which may pose the risk of salmonella therefore I have been considering to sear the sides so it's semi-cooked to reduce chewyness and add other ingredients to flavour it(will still taste like shit anyways). Can anyone help me?

Braise it in a frying pan.
