What most are aiming for is reducing BF% to enhance the prominence of bones, but if your bones aren't significantly prominent, you just reach a point where you become gaunt trying to achieve that "prominence". In general, most people look better at lower weights, but you are trying to balance a healthy appearance while maximizing that prominence of your bones. Of course, being healthy is good in general, so a win win.
