IQ is not correlated with wealth/income.

151 (kinda lost count)

Clearly it is correlated

With some simple maths we know that people with an IQ above average are 3.145833 times more likely to be high earners than those with an IQ below average.

3.145833:1 vs 1:1 clearly shows a significant correlation.

@Alt Number 3 take a look at these apples
That’s not how r coefficients work. You don’t know the method of sampling either, I.e. they based it on Iq or income.

Over for Low IQcels.
What an irony

That's exactly have correlations work. It show. It's clearly a week positive correlation. I actually finished grade 8.

HighIQ makes it less likely that you will live in poverty (<37k USD/year). But it has 0 correlation with getting an income above 37k, as is evident from the graph above.

Are you aware it’s entirely possible they asked more people with below average iQ than those with above average iQ which would account for the OP charts shape, instead of asking people of different income brackets what their iQ is?

Nowhere do any of these charts show a strong r coeffiecent so it’s ridiculous to claim the x & y are correlated. They are not.

This is not a correlation between the two variables.

Read my post again mate. I never said it was a strong correlation.

A week correlation is still a correlation.

Also, I don't argue with people not comparable to me intellectually. I wont get my hands muddy today.

It’s not an argument you are wrong, plain and simple. By yours & @Patient A same logic this indicates a correlation with 130iQ and low income, drop the arrogance.

Do I have to explain to you why I cut them into two images?

I did that to show there are more data points on the top right side than on the top left side. I was physically showing that richer people are generally higher IQ. Just over THREE times more likely.

The fact that you fundamentally misunderstood what my logic even was is astounding. You MUST be a troll.

Absolutely laughable.

Just over THREE times more likely.
Three times more likely looks like this

Correlation

Not this

The difference in quantity can be explained by the method of sampling, not by any relationship between the variables

Again you keep making ad-homs it's just making you look uneducated, why is there so few people here with high income, does that mean people with high iq are 50x less likely to be rich?

I'm insulting you because you're dumb and I do not respect what you have to say. Laughable. No point in entertaining you any longer.

High IQ and the life associatd with it is a huge fucking scam.

When you take into account the full graph, so that includes the large amount of people at low IQ below minimum wage income, there was a small income advantage for high IQs.

The following from the study:
This means the average income difference between a person with an IQ score in the normal range (100) and someone in the top 2% of society (130) is currently between $6000 and $18,500 per year.
But this was also research done in the US. For Eurocucks like me with the socialist tax-system that we have here, these differences are going to be MUCH smaller for sure aswell.

And for wealth:
IQ test scores and net worth are not connected.

Overall financial distress:
higher IQ test scores do not always lower the probability of being in financial difficulty. Financial distress is least for people with an IQ score slightly higher than average (100). Among those in the lower and upper portion of the IQ test score distribution, a higher IQ score increases distress.

If IQ test scores are an accurate measure of intelligence [...] being more intelligent does not confer any advantage along two of the three key dimensions of financial success. Since intelligence is not a factor for explaining wealth, individuals with low intelligence should not believe they are handicapped in achieving financial success, nor should high intelligence people believe they have an advantage.

Nooo bro, bivariate analysis is wrong & lowiQ. Let's blur out parts of the graph and count dots instead :soy:

Also, how were the participants selected does it say? I'm curious why they used a much bigger number of participants below-average in iQ opposed to an equal amount for both spectrums.

I think IQ don't matter so much in this life. What matters is the way you handle/manage things.

For example people who know they are not smart enough for something they hire other persons which are more inteligent then them to perform a task; whatever.

School of life matters a lot.

The NLSY79 is a very large randomly selected nationally representative U.S. panel survey that is primarily funded by the government's Bureau of Labor Statistics. The survey has questioned the same group of young baby boomers 21 times between 1979 and 2004.

This research uses as its base 7403 respondents who both answered the 2004 survey and have an IQ test score from earlier rounds. In 2004 these respondents ranged in age from 33 to 41 years old, with the average being almost 37. The sample was split almost evenly between men (50.7%) and women (49.3%). Like the U.S. population, the majority of the sample was white (79.5%) but both African-Americans (14.2%) and Hispanics (6.3%) are represented.

utterly baseless scatter graph with unknown sample size or geographical location of the study

and yet if OP had some extra IQ points he would see that the graph shows quite clearly by a massive margin the concentration of lower IQs within the area of lower income and that whilst there are a lot less people with higher IQs, they Disproportionately make up the higher income areas based on their ratio.

Too dumb: Couldn't read: IQ does correlate with income/wealth but it is possible for a few dumbasses to slip through the cracks by for example: inheritance or nepotism, or moving into the mid tier+ brackets through unrelenting work ethic (lots of hours doing hard work)
https://looksmax.org/threads/iq-is-...gatively-correlates-with-adult-income.702379/ Reality: IQ negatively correlates with income

It clearly is looking at ur statistics lol
