I love the Tar. I think its unique construction and shape are so cool as an amateur luthier myself.

From the band that sent me down the whole quarter tone (I know maqams and raggas and such aren't ACTUALLY quarter tone, but it's an approximation) and microtonal rabbithole. I don't listen to them anymore but they still have some good tracks in hindsight. Obviously also not middle eastern or south asian but it's heavily influenced by Turkish music.
