Let's say you believe the sky is an hologram. You search that topic on tiktok and now the algorithm will show you a lot of videos about that topic on your home page. You start noticing there is a lot of videos of people talking about that conspiracy theory. The algorithm rarely shows you videos where that theory is refuted. Eventually you will be 100% convinced the sky is an hologram.

Instead of talking about that topic on a free speech place like this forum for example, where some users may provide evidence of why that theory it's wrong. A place where everyone has their own opinion.

I think that if someone is out of touch with reality to the point where they could be 100% convinced of an outrageous and baseless claim just because tiktokers said so, that they would also be out of touch with reality enough to go down those types of rabbitholes even when met with opposing opinions.
